George & Thomas Henry Salter Trust

Helping the people of Sandwell.

We offer a variety of specific grants for people who have lived in Sandwell for more than three years; particularly those who are in financial difficulty.

The Trust are also able to assist with grants for education to help students, schools, sports clubs and organisations

 

Trust Meetings:

Please note that the Trust only meets 5-6 times a year.

Applications must be submitted 10 days prior to these meetings for consideration.

What we can help with:


Relief In Need

 

We offer grants for the purchase of essential white goods and/or furniture for people living in the Sandwell Borough Council area.

We also offer grants to organisations who support vulnerable people in the Sandwell Borough Council Area.


Advancement of Education

 

We offer grants to students starting their Higher Education journey - including Open University, their Further Education routes, apprentices who require specific equipment and clothing, and we help with the purchase of musical instruments.


We also offer grants for schools for specific projects, such as Forest School, expansion of libraries, extra reading projects during the pandemic and quiet rooms which they otherwise would be unable to pursue.


We support and provide grants for local organisations such as Guides, Brownies, Amateur Dramatics, Boys Brigade, Rambling Clubs, Bowling Clubs and Football Clubs amongst others in order to assist with expanding horizons and providing life experience.
